Comings & Goings from Tuesdays OTA

Tampa, FL - Garcia, Graham could holdout, Griese happy to be back with the Bucs, Haye signs. Williams believes there is no doubt he will be ready for training camp. Stovall on the mend, find out answers to these and many more questions from Tuesdays round of OTA's.

Tuesday was the Buccaneers first organized team activity since April. After the practice session ended many Buccaneers players were more then willing to voice their displeasure over the status of there contracts and injuries. One player who could not update their status with the team was running back Earnest Graham. Graham has been speciously absent from off season workouts.

Graham was not in attendance at Tuesday's OTA. The Buccaneers running back has been at odds with the organization regarding a contract extension. Graham was not present at the first set of OTA's that were held in mid-April. Stating family reasons for the absence in April.

The team announced that restricted free agent DT Javon Haye signed, it is not yet known if Haye signed his tender offer or the team had reached a long term agreement with him.

When asked about the signing Haye responded with "I signed something." But then went on to say "I'm not allowed to touch that, but nice try though."

Stovall is on the mend but not at 100 percent yet, he has seen small improvements, but taking it day by day. He is looking forward to the added competition in camp with the drafting of WR Dexter Jackson in the second round and the free agent signing of Antonio Bryant.

Carnell Williams who has been working hard to rehab his injured knee feels he should be ready to go in mid July, he thinks he will be ready sooner rather then later, but is not ruling out the possibility of landing on the PUP list to open the season. But stated that "I will be back." when asked if he will be ready when training camp begins.

Brian Griese is happy to be reunited with head coach Jon Gruden, but doesn't want to let it be known. All though he is excited to be back, he still gave Gruden a little grief over his release.

Griese believes that his along with current starter Jeff Garcia's experience will hopefully add to the team and feels that is the reason the reacquired him in a trade from the Bears for a 6th round pick in the 2009 draft.

Griese relishes' the chance to go out and compete with the stable of quarterbacks currently on the roster, but will approach it like he is a rookie trying to make the most of any opportunity that comes his way.

Garcia still frustrated over the lack of a long term contract that would allow him to retire a Buc. He feels there is little to no major strides being made. Why he stated he is not looking to break the bank, he is not willing to go on record and state what his demands are, but is more then willing to try and paint the team in a negative light.
